About Rev Michael

My birth family taught me to believe in choice and that applied to our religious convictions as well.  I had a near death experience at age 2 in which I remember beings of light telling me to go back and be a beacon of light.  My mother always said I must have been carried on angels wings as I fell.  Thus spirituality seemed a more reasonable choice to me versus a religious dogma.

When my birth family began to drift apart and my sisters questioned everything I thought was so obvious, I again turned to spirituality to assist me in healing issues of abandonment, family, trust and the usual assortment of “stuff” we all seem to carry around with us.

I often hear people say when did you get on your path.  That seems an odd question to me as it seems I’ve always been outside of main stream thought and going in a direction that many others found weird.  So I was blessed with a group of wonderful people around me that were not afraid to question mass consciousness or main stream thought and at the same time being involved in community that most of us would call average or normal.  I’ve studied all my young life with various teachers, reading conventional material as well as what may be considered new thought material.  I’ve attended conferences, devoted myself to serious study, the most recent through Rev Kay and I was ordained in July 2007 through the Cathedral of Light.

I have a strong desire to be of service and I’ve explored many ideas and methods of expressing that service such as the hospice volunteer program I’m currently working with.  I’ve studied different modalities of healing and it appears to me now that our personal connection to our Divine self is what is most vital to us.  To be able to take the gifts we are all given and are available to all and to utilize them without fear or attachment to any outcome is of great value to all of us and very needed at this time in our evolution.

My view of our world tends to be very broad, I would say universal.  When I think of family, I think of mankind.  I don’t think of blood relations, religious organizations, countries or borders.  I think of the possibility of our galactic family and that being available to us as we spiritually grow.  Life is filled with potential, abundance and grace and by opening ourselves to the harmony and peace that is within each of us right now, we realize Oneness.  Letting go of traditions and limitations that are exclusive or limiting has served me well.

I love being around people who enjoy life, love to laugh and see the world as though it were filled with infinite potential.  If you are this person, I am open to spiritual counseling and guidance and of being of service in a mutually respectful way.
